Second Week

Editorial standards

How we handle news, product articles, corrections, and money.

News

News posts prioritize primary sources: company blogs, filings, and reporting from established outlets. We flag unconfirmed funding rounds, roadmap language, and marketing claims. If a story is still developing, the article should say so.

Product articles

Product pieces are not always hands-on lab loans. Many are structured summaries of manufacturer specs plus recurring themes from Amazon reviews, forums, and third-party writeups. We do not invent measurements or claim multi-week testing we did not perform.

When evidence conflicts, we say the field is mixed. One viral complaint is not a trend; repeated issues across many owners are.

Corrections

Email editor@secondweek.net with the URL and a supporting source. Substantive fixes are updated in place when practical.
